Your Wealth and the Road
Reflecting on the road, the wealth we create, and the meaning we leave behind.
Life doesn’t give you a map. It gives you a road—sometimes wide and full of promise, sometimes narrow and winding. It’s up to us to make sense of it, to find meaning in the steps we take, the connections we make, and the legacy we leave.
Lately, I’ve been reflecting on wealth—not the kind that fills bank accounts, but the kind that shapes lives. Wealth in purpose. Wealth in freedom. Wealth in belonging. The kind of wealth that doesn’t rely on numbers but on meaning.
As the year winds down, I’ll admit: I haven’t been burning as much as usual. There’s been so much warmth and fluff around my heart these days, a sense of gratitude that has replaced the spark to burn with a glow instead. It’s a reminder that even in the midst of chaos, there’s a kind of wealth in just being present and connected.
This reflection inspired Your Wealth and the Road. It’s not just a song; it’s a story about life’s twists and turns. The road starts with freedom, the wild and adventurous spirit of childhood where every step feels like an endless horizon. Then, as the road narrows, belonging takes center stage—the connections we build, the people we love, the commitments we honor.
But belonging isn’t the end. Purpose emerges, not just in what we do but in why we do it. Family, community, and the moments of giving ourselves to something bigger than us become the steps that define us.
And then, at some point, the road opens again—not to freedom, but to reflection. The wealth of the road isn’t measured in miles traveled but in the stories written, the love given, and the lives touched.
This isn’t just about individual journeys. It’s about shared experiences. The wealth we create isn’t for us alone—it’s for the people we care about, the communities we’re part of, and the world we leave behind.
As I reflect on this road, I’ve decided to take a small pause and reduce my posting for the remainder of the year. The road deserves my full attention right now—to slow down, to think, and to absorb what it’s teaching me. Don’t worry; I’ll be back to burn brighter than ever soon.
Let this be your reminder: true wealth is freedom to walk your own path, purpose in why you walk it, and belonging in those who walk it with you.
